Most low-risk businesses are approved and active within 24–48 hours. POS system installations require a 14-day lead time from approval. High-risk and specialty industries may have longer timelines depending on the underwriting process.
Yes, in most situations we offer a month-to-month agreement because we believe you must set yourself apart with service. We do have certain products that require agreements due to solution requirements, and we do our best to minimize the impact in those situations.
We serve a wide range of businesses including restaurants, retail, medical, automotive, salons, eCommerce, professional services, and more. We can also service medium and high-risk businesses, though those are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you accept payments, reach out and we'll find a solution that works for you.
Generally, no cancellation fees apply — we believe in earning your business every month, not locking you in. However, certain types of businesses or solutions require a formal agreement, and in those cases cancellation fees are based on the terms of the individual agreement. We are always upfront about this before you sign anything.

Interchange-plus pricing passes the actual interchange cost (set by Visa/Mastercard) directly to you, plus a small fixed markup. It's the most transparent pricing model and is especially beneficial for businesses with high-ticket transactions or a mix of card types.
Dual pricing is a compliant payment strategy where your business displays two prices at the point of sale — a lower price for customers who pay with cash, and a slightly higher price for customers who pay with a credit or debit card. The difference between the two prices reflects your card processing cost, which is passed to the customer transparently before the transaction is completed.
Dual pricing is legal in all 50 states and applies to all card types — credit, debit, and prepaid. It is distinct from surcharging (which is limited to credit cards only and is prohibited in some states) and from cash discount & dual pricing (which posts one price and applies a discount at checkout for cash payers). Dual pricing is generally considered the most transparent and consumer-friendly approach because both prices are shown upfront.
When implemented correctly with proper signage and receipt language, most businesses report minimal customer pushback. UBC Unlimited provides all required compliance materials, staff training, and compatible hardware or equipment programming as part of our setup.
